About me
Darrell "Flash" Gordon – National Speaker | Champion of Youth & Social Justice | Former Notre Dame Football ChampionDarrell Gordon is a powerful voice in leadership, character development, diversity, and social change. A former starting outside linebacker on the University of Notre Dame’s iconic 1988 National Championship football team, Darrell played under legendary coach Lou Holtz and alongside future NFL Hall of Famers, including Deion Sanders, Troy Aikman, and Derrick Thomas. His excellence on the field earned national recognition—including personal invitations to the White House by Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
Yet Darrell's most profound impact began after football. With a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Notre Dame, a Juris Doctorate from Chase College of Law, fundraising certification from Indiana University, and executive training from Harvard Business School, Darrell has spent his life breaking barriers and building futures.
From 2001 to January 2025, he has served as the CEO of a multi-million-dollar youth organization, guiding transformative initiatives that empower underserved communities and reshape young lives. A former NCAA administrator and Sports Law professor, Darrell brings unmatched insight into leadership, accountability, and systems-level change.
His honors include Indiana’s highest civilian award—the Sagamore of the Wabash—as well as national accolades for diversity, public service, and community impact. In 2018, he became a published author with Change Does Not Occur In A Flash, a bold message of personal and organizational transformation.
Darrell Gordon is not just a former athlete—he is a visionary leader, changemaker, and electrifying speaker whose presence inspires action, courage, and the belief that greatness is possible through purpose and perseverance.
